Director
THOKO MOKOGOSI
Thoko holds an MSc in Medicinal Chemistry from the UK, a BSc and a diploma in teaching from Swaziland, and has completed executive courses at Harvard University and IMD in Switzerland. As the CEO and founding member of Kutana Group, a black women-owned investment company, she has held executive roles in global pharmaceutical and ICT firms, including CEO positions at Alcatel SA and Hewlett Packard SA.
Currently, Thoko serves on the boards of prominent companies such as Old Mutual, Omnia, Royal Bafokeng Platinum (RBP), and Smollan. Her career spans pharmaceuticals, information technology, and business, with senior roles at Telkom, Lucent Technologies, Siemens Telecommunications, Alcatel SA, and Hewlett Packard SA.
Thoko has received accolades including South African Business Woman of the Year (2007), IT Businesswoman of the Year, and was ranked as the second most influential woman in Africa for IT, Media, and Telecoms.

KARL BAUERMEISTER
Karl brings nearly four decades of financial services experience to his role as CEO of Finance Africa. Prior to joining the company, he advanced from general management to director and CEO positions at FirstRand Group and Standard Bank Vehicle and Asset Finance, serving on the boards of associated companies.
Karl has been honored with leadership awards, including recognition from the Global Pacific Institute for his contributions to the South African economy, the Club of Excellence award for his outstanding work with McCarthy Motors Holdings, and the SITE Crystal Award for the Best Worldwide Strategic Incentive Program (2007, California) for his efforts to boost sales volumes in the motor industry for Standard Bank SA.
He holds a Certificate and Diploma in Management from Hendley (London) and has completed MBIA and MDP programs presented by WesBank.

PROFESSOR THABANG MOKOTELI

In Kutana she focuses on the financial overview and governance. Dr Thabang Mokoteli is a senior lecturer in Finance at Wits Business School (WBS), South Africa.
Previously she was a Finance Officer at Standard Chartered Bank. She served as a non-executive director at Nozala Investments Ltd and Life’s Comfort Solutions. Currently, she serves as a non-executive director at StorTech (a subsidiary of Vodacom SA).
Chief Financial Officer
CHRIS HARITO (CFO) SA
Chris holds a B.Com (Acc.) Hons degree from the University of Johannesburg. He is a Chartered Accountant and completed his articles at EY, after which he continued to become an Associate Director. During this time he was also seconded to the US and Australia to gain international experience.
In 2013, Chris joined Aveng Steeledale as Financial Director, responsible for overseeing 21 branches country wide and 5 foreign operations.
In 2017 he took on the roll as the CFO of Steeledale Group and in 2019 was appointed as the CEO of Steeledale
Chris joined Finance Africa in 2021 as the groups Chief Financial Officer.
